Our
motto is inspired by the Sacred Heart of Jesus
who, from the beginning is revealed as I AM. He is forever opering
a hearty welcome rich in mercy.
The
symbols have been carved in a 3,300 year
old piece of wood. Our history and journey of faith stem from the
faith of our fathers throughout the First
and Second Covenants.
The
“windows” reflect our pilgrimage of faith in Christ throughout the
ages.
The
“heart” is the gentleness, love, compassion and mercy of God abundantly
given through His Son. In the image of God, we are commissioned
to the same, thus the virtue of Mercy.
The
“open hand” is the openness to the Ultimate Other with God’s Word
that enlightens our being as Christians. We who are attentive to
the Word, journey on the paths conducive to Faith, Hope and Charity.
Our witnessing in the world leads us to a greater love for our neighbour
as Christ has taught us which brings us to another value, that of
receiving kindly - Welcome.
In
Christ, through Christ, with Christ, God’s mercy nurtures our hearts
with wisdom in the light of the Holy Spirit.
Let
us live out our mission of love in this days and age: open our hearts,
open our hands to all those we encounter in the Lord: we form the
“Body of Christ, the Church in our world”.
